Your first visit is usually at 9-10 weeks of pregnancy. At this visit we will outline the main considerations for your pregnancy to provide an individualised plan of care according to your needs. At each visit, I will perform an ultrasound of your baby.
You will have a visit with my midwife at 30 weeks gestation to have a longer discussion about breast feeding, birth and what to expect in the third trimester! If you wish to see her sooner than this, this can also be arranged.
I aim to provide low intervention care, however am skilled at instrumental birth or caesarean delivery should the need arise. I also support women’s autonomy and perform caesarean section for maternal request.
An appointment will be made at 6 weeks postnatally to ensure everything is going well with you and arrange contraception if required. If you have any concerns sooner, please contact the rooms for an earlier appointment.
My rooms are onsite at the Randwick campus to ensure I’m never too far away from the birthing suites at POWP and RHW in case of an emergency.
I work on a weekend cover roster with 2 other obstetricians – if I am away or unavailable either Dr Jason Chow or Dr Jan Dudley will be available to care for you.
